Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Toby has been a Texan since 1986. After graduating from
the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science,
Toby attended law school at South Texas College of Law, where his studies
concentrated on trial advocacy.
Toby has focused his efforts and resources on helping individuals obtain
compensation when they have been wronged by the negligent conduct of others.
Whether a business deal goes sour or a person has been injured, Toby believes
that the jury system effectively functions to hold individuals, corporations
and insurance companies accountable.

Therefore, whether he is
representing an individual or a large business, Toby trusts the jury to protect
the community and to provide justice. In appreciation for his efforts, Toby was
selected in 2009 by his peers and clients as one of Houston’s Top "Lawyers for
the People" in
H Texas Magazine.
In addition to his work as an attorney, Toby also serves on the Advisory Board
for the Houston Urban Debate League, an organization that is dedicated to
building, supporting and sustaining programs in Houston’s public schools to
make debate an educational resource that is available to all students. For more
